ASUS has announced an updated version of its high-end gaming monitor, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen 3, with several refinements over the previous model.
The monitor features a 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display using Samsung panel technology. It offers a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time.
The main update is the addition of a new Black Shield Film. ASUS says this layer improves black levels in bright rooms and reduces the purple tint sometimes seen on QD-OLED panels under strong ambient light.
The company claims up to a 40 percent improvement in perceived black depth, along with an anti-reflective coating. The surface is also said to be more durable and more resistant to scratches.
Connectivity has also been updated. The PG32UCDM Gen 3 now supports DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, alongside HDMI 2.1 for modern consoles and GPUs. A USB-C port with 90W power delivery is included, allowing single-cable connections for laptops.

Other features remain the same. These include NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, Dolby Vision support, a built-in KVM switch, and ASUS OLED Care features designed to reduce burn-in. The monitor is now certified for VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black, an upgrade from HDR 400 on the earlier model.
Pricing and availability have not been announced. Stay tuned!
