After a week of no new iPhone news, Jon Prosser, the well-known leakster in the world of tech, is now back — reporting the tentative release dates of upcoming Apple products for the 2nd half of 2020. The last time we heard about Apple, officially, is the admitting of pushing back the release date of its iPhone 12 Series for “a few weeks.” Tim Cook usually announces its new iPhones in September, this time, it seems like we’re going to see the first batch of iPhone 12 in October, with the second batch on November.
What’s more, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max is set for an October 12 announcement, with pre-orders starting on the same day and shipping on October 19. As for iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, there’s no exact date yet, but Prosser hinted at November release. All said, it doesn’t mean Apple won’t be announcing new devices in September. Through a press release, the company will reveal the new Apple Watch and iPad on September 7.
Though Prosser is, more often than not, accurate with its leaks, it’s still best to take his report with a grain of salt. But if anything, this gives us a good idea of what Apple is planning to do amidst the pandemic.
