
HMD Global has announced the arrival of the updated model of the Nokia 5 in a press conference held in Moscow. The 2GB variant of this smartphone carries the price tag of $189, which is around PHP 9.9k when converted directly, on the other hand, the 3GB model is priced at $219, roughly around PHP 11.5k.
The Nokia 5.1 houses a 5.5-inch FHD+ IPS display with the resolution of 2160 x 1080 resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P18 2.0GHz octa-core processor and Mali T720 MP3 GPU, paired with 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB native storage, which is also expandable via microSD card.
In the camera department, it comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. On the front side, it has an 8-megapixel front camera.
For connectivity, it supports dual SIM, 3G, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS. It also has a fingerprint scanner. It runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and is fueled by a 2,970mAh battery pack.
