After Qualcomm announced their latest Snapdragon 845 platform, several devices were leaked to sport the chipset. But there are smartphones as of now that are confirmed to equip the chipset. That said, the Snapdragon 845 processor now comes along with an Adreno 630 Visual Processing Subsystem.
Speaking of the 845’s Adreno 630, it is said to have 30 percent improvement in terms of graphics and video rendering compared to the previous Adreno 540. There is also a reduction in power consumption. A Secure Processing Unit (SPU) was also included in its hardware. The SPU is responsible for storing biometric information like face id, fingerprint and iris scans.
Smartphones that boast the chipset also feature the latest Quick Charge 4+. Compared to the standard QuickCharge, the Quick Charge 4+ is up to 30 percent more efficient and 15 percent faster. It is also designed to keep devices cooler. Aside from that, the chipset is also integrated with Qualcomm Spectra 280 image signal processor (ISP).
