
Google has just unveiled their latest PixelBook laptop. Yet, it seems to rival the specs of Microsoft’s Surface Pro (2017). Without further ado, we pit them against each other to see who offers more premium specs and price.
Both Google’s PixelBook and Microsoft’s Surface Book (2017) sport a 12.3-inch display. Yet the Surface Pro is fanless. The PixelBook only boasts a 10mm thickness while the Surface Pro 2017 is slimmer with 8.4mm. The Surface Pro is also lighter with only 1.69 lbs cause the PixelBook weighs less than 2.4lbs.
The Pixelbook’s offers processor options of Intel’s seventh generation i5 and i7 that has storage up to 512GB. On the other hand, the Surface Pro caters Intel’s seventh generation i5, i7 and Core m3 with storage up to 512MB as well. Yet, the PixelBook offers only 8GB/16GB RAM models while the Surface Pro has 4GB/8GB/16GB RAM.

Since the PixelBook has its Google Assistant on board, the Surface Pro has their Cortana. The security feature of the PixelBook allows users to use their Android phones to unlock it while the Surface Pro has face authentication.
Regarding the price, the Google PixelBook costs starting at $1,000 while the Microsoft Surface Pro 2017 starts at $749 but with an Intel Core m3 processor. However, the Pixel pen costs $99 and the Surface pen costs $100, separately.
