Ironically, Xiaomi got the name from a poll they set, in which the people decided and vote from various options on what name would fit on their upcoming new phablet and alas, the people chose the Xiaomi Mi Max. Xiaomi also recently confirmed that the handset is set to be unveiled on May 10th, which means, we’ll finally be seeing the upcoming new phablet as a whole. However, it seems that we don’t exactly need to wait until May to learn more about the handset since the Xiaomi Max was recently spotted in GFXBench, which reveals a few interesting specs and features.
The GFXBench info confirms the 6.4-inch display, which we had doubts with, thanks to a teaser that shows a possible smaller handset. Another shocking yet interesting change is the FHD resolution, which contradicts the possible QHD display of the Xiaomi Max. We also got a glimpse of a 16MP/8MP camera pairing, which is looking pretty decent in paper.
