Check out the New Google On-Campus Hotel

Google just recently showed off its new plan to get employees to work from home. Since 2022, Google has had an on-site office plan that requires workers to show up at least three days a week. To make the offer even more appealing, Google has added a $99-per-night hotel to its base in Mountain View, California.

The $99 Nightly Rate Is Still Higher Than a Local One-Bedroom Apartment.

This hotel, which opened for business last year, is a modern marvel. It is part of the Bay View campus, a huge 42-acre building. The hotel was built to hold up to 4,000 people, and it has a lot of great features like an exercise center, free breakfast, and more. Until September 30, Google employees can take advantage of a special deal that gives them rooms for $90 per night and a lot of extra services.

Even though the big company says this is a huge perk, not everyone at Google is happy about it. Some employees think the whole idea is a smart way to get them to spend some of their hard-earned money on the business.

A forum for employees was full of complaints and suggestions. One person pointed out that even the reduced rate is still more than the rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Google spokeswoman Ryan Ramon defended the project by saying that it helps the company “take advantage of our space and facilities.” The tech giant went on to say that savings on services, entertainment, and lodging are a regular part of their benefits for employees.
