Last March, we covered ZTE nubia’s release with their RedMagic 6 and 6 Pro. Now, the company is releasing another addition for its 6 series which is the RedMagic 6R.
This features a 6.67-inches AMOLED display that is supported with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 400Hz touch sampling rate. It will also come with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. When it comes to its chipset, it will use a Snapdragon 888 and is supported with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and internal storage up to 256GB with UFS 3.1. As for its operating system, it runs using an Android 11-based Redmagic 4.0.
As for its camera, the RedMagic 6R features four rear cameras. There is the main 64MP Sony IMX682 camera, an ultrawide 8MP lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth camera. In front of the phone, it sports a 16MP which is supported by a portrait selfie mode and Full HD video recording.
Now, as you may know, this is also a gaming smartphone which means, it features qualities perfect for gamers. There will be gaming trigger shoulder buttons with a response rate as low as 8.3mms. Gamers who will purchase this unit can enjoy Tencent’s exclusive custom gaming packages like “Call of Duty”, “The End of the World, and Moon Knife”, and “Glory of the King.”
When it comes to battery, this uses a 4,200mAh capacity which is supported by a 55W fast charging. Also, to help with cooling the phone’s internal system, it has a 3D cooling system that helps eliminate heat. This is composed of a graphene layer, a VC liquid cooling, a thermal gel, superconducting copper foil, and a metallic mid-frame.
There will also be a limited edition for this unit which will officially be known as the RedMagic 6R Buddha IP Limited Edition which features 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. This is inspired by the Monkey King game.
It will be available in three colors, Phantom Black, Stream Silver, and White. You can expect the RedMagic 6R to launch on June 1 in China. It will be available in five different configurations which match its price, you can refer to the list below.
