In some markets, Vivo released the Y51 with the outfit of the S1 Pro, but with a 32MP selfie camera and 8GB RAM. That was last September. Nearly three months later, the company outs another Y51 in Indonesia — with a new design, larger battery, and nearly an entirely different spec sheet.
For starters, the new Y51 comes with the same and outdated Snapdragon 665. But much like the S1 Pro, there’s 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 16MP selfie camera makes a return along with the teardrop notch. The same 48MP + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro cameras are on the back, but the 2MP macro lens gets omitted in exchange for nothing. On the video recording side, you can finally go up to 4K@30fps with EIS to back up.
The device also comes with a slightly larger screen — at 6.58″ — but switches to IPS LCD, with no high refresh rate or HDR compatibility. On the flip end, the battery is now 5000mAh, up from 4500mAh. Lastly, there’s a new design, particularly the Mi 10T-inspired camera module.
Vivo Y51 comes in Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony colors, along with a price of IDR3,599,000(~Php12,200). For now, it’s only available for pre-order until December 7 in Indonesia.
