Last December, Vivo announced the X60 and X60 Pro in China with Exynos 1080. It’s Samsung’s answer to premium mid-range or affordable flagship SoC, like Snapdragon 765G, bringing 5G to affordable prices with little-to-no compromise in features and performance. That said, we never had a discussion regarding the X60 Series releasing for the global market until today.
Based on leaked promotional materials, Vivo plans to launch the X60 and X60 Pro first in Malaysia but with Snapdragon 870. To recap, the Qualcomm chipset is like an overclocked version of the already overclocked Snapdragon 865+ of last year. What’s more, Vivo is bringing in Zeiss to promote better camera quality on its upcoming phones.
For the rest of the specs, the X60 Series may bring the same specs as the Chinese models, which means 6.56″ 120Hz E3 AMOLED, up to 4300mAh battery, 33W fast charging, and Origin OS out of the box. Camera-wise, both are sporting a 32MP selfie snapper, with 48MP+13MP+13MP orientation for the non-Pro and 50MP+8MP+13MP+13MP for the Pro model.
Lastly, the material reveals a March 22nd launch for the X60 Series in Malaysia.
