Few days after OPPO’s launching of its Reno 10X Zoom in China, its sister company revealed a device that comes around the same P30k price tag. For the Vivo X27 Pro, you might be missing on the periscope camera but it’s betting on a 48MP triple camera setup and the second tallest display on the market.

Starting with the cameras, the main shooters of the Vivo X27 Pro feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor + 13MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP “night vision” lens. Apparently, the last one is made for night scenes, super macros, and filters among others. Up front is a pop-up 32MP selfie shooter.
Due to the fact that it’s a motorized-selfie phone, the display was able to attain a 92.12% screen-to-body ratio. That said, the company is touting its 6.7-inch fullscreen display that feels like 5.5-inch in the hands. And with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, it’s already the second tallest smartphone on the market — second to the Sony Xperia X10 series. Other than that, it sports a Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 256 onboard storage, and a generous 4000mAh battery.
Among the phone’s unique feature is the back finish. Apparently, the White variant provides different textured looks, while the Black variant dazzles with its holographic-like finish.
The Vivo X27 Pro will launch in China on April 18th for 3998 yuan or ~Php30k.
