Redmi 9i with 5000mAh, Helio G25, 4GB/64GB Launching on September 15

It’s been a while since Xiaomi released a phone. Though you might say POCO X3 NFC just recently launched in the country, do take note the brand has left the umbrellas of the company, even though it’s just re-branding phones. This time, however, we have the Redmi 9i to dwell with, which is an upcoming budget phone. And according to the initial specs leaked on the internet, well, just see for yourself.

At the helm of the Redmi 9i is MediaTek’s Helio G25 SoC, powered by a standard 5000mAh battery. The all-polycarbonate build comes in green, blue, and black colors, along with the single-stripe pattern along with the camera module. See the pattern yet? For that, you’re looking at a 13MP main sensor with a 5MP lens for depth, most likely. The screen spans 6.53″ diagonal with HD+ IPS LCD in tow. Running MIUI 12 based on Android, the OS relies on 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage, with 64GB being the base model.

If these features feel familiar, that’s because we’re looking at the Redmi 9A that’s already available in the Philippines and other markets. According to the poster, Redmi 9i will launch in India on September 15. Compared to the 9A, the 9i has a bigger memory combo and dual-main cameras.
