Apple products are not reasonable priced. There targetted to a specific type of market that could afford the product, so it isn’t practical to get a costly smartphone, at least for an everyday hardworking Juan. Pinoy’s are known to be practical and would want to get the most in everything, so buying a pretty expensive phone won’t be in the head of an everyday citizen.
Another reason is more inclined to those who are capable of buying, both would not since the iPhone 7 is simply just around the corner. Buying two different iPhones are not exactly something that everyone does and so, people would opt to buy the flagship version and save up for it, then buying the downgraded version now.
Like i mentioned before, the iPhone has a specifically targetted market, making the majority of the PH smartphone market out-of-reach. This heavily declines the iPhone SE’s potential to gather more sells here in PH, since as mentioned, everyday Filipino citizens would prefer a more capable yet affordable smartphone and the iPhone SE not only lashes off previous iPhone 6S offerings, but its price ain’t exactly budget-friendly.
Here in the Philippines, the quality of a product and its price is what matters, so it’s hard for companies, namely smartphone companies to establish a cult following. The Apple brand is quite known, but if the call-to-pay isn’t strong enough, then the market won’t comply.
There are various alternative options in buying the iPhone SE here in the Philippines, other than straight up buying it. One well-known option is via plan, where a few Telcom companies should offer of the iPhone SE. This will give the buyer some time to fully pay for the device, while enjoying the device, tenfold. A quick and easy way to get your hands on an iPhone SE.
Not unless you’ve been living under a rock for decades, there’s no way you haven’t heard of Apple, iPhone or even Mac. Apple is pretty much a household name in various regions in Asia, even here in little ol’ PH. Even if you haven’t heard about Apple’s products, you, yourself can connect Apple to technology and gadgets, just by general knowledge alone. That could be a huge factor for the iPhone SE to at least find a few decent buyers in the PH market.
Apple’s products have already established a particular market to cater with, which means that it is assured they’ll be able to sell their products to uncharted territory. Like how the iPhone brand is already familiar with its market around the globe. By catering to their designated market, the iPhone SE should have no problem in selling a unit or two.
The iPhone moniker has slowly become a social symbol, which means people often associate it on people’s social standing. If you have an iPhone in hand, people will likely see you as someone who’s capable of life, which at some point is quite true and since the iPhone SE is one of the most affordable iPhones upon launching, people who’re particularly concerned about their social standing might hop on in on the bandwagon.
