Many tech companies have released their clamshell and foldable smartphones in recent years. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer realme may shortly launch a rival to Samsung’s Flip and Fold smartphones.
Below, you’ll see a tweet from Realme CEO Madhav Sheth asking his followers to vote on whether the company should focus next on the Realme Flip or Realme Fold. That could mean the business is working on two folding devices, one that opens vertically and another horizontally.

Xu Qi, VP of realme China, discussed the company’s intentions for the future in an interview in November 2022. According to him, the business would annually release two smartphones under the GT Neo name, two under the number series, and one under the GT series. And, he said, the business is developing a cheap folding phone right now.

Sheth’s post suggested that the titles Realme Flip and Realme Fold were not the final versions. Having hinted at the release of a folding phone, the company’s chief executive has stoked expectations that further information will reveal soon.
Meanwhile, Realme has released the Realme GT 3 240W to global markets. The Realme GT Neo 5 240W, a phone sold in China, was the basis for this. The GT 3 has a 6.74-inch OLED 1.5K 144Hz screen, a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, LPDDR5x Memory, UFS 3.1 storage, 50-megapixel triple cameras, and a 4,600mAh battery, in addition to the 240W rapid charging capability.
