As scheduled, POCO has released its latest phone tonight. This time, the company targets users who want to own a 5G phone along with the best possible set of features while undercutting the competition. During the event, POCO made Samsung Galaxy A32 4G and 5G as examples wherein you need to settle for the higher price tag and a few downgraded features to get 5G on your phone. With POCO M3 Pro 5G, the company aims to outdo that.
POCO M3 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700, a 5G-enabled SoC that’s also faster in Antutu Benchmark versus Snapdragon 720G. It’s paired with UFS 2.2 for improved storage access speeds and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
The M3 Pro 5G uses a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a dynamic 90Hz refresh rate, going as low as 30Hz depending on the content. Combined with the efficiency of the chipset and the smart feature of the display, POCO claims the phone to last up to two days of battery life.
When POCO M3 launched, we were astonished by the bold step of the company to introduce a unique design. With the M3 Pro 5G, we have the same reaction as it comes in Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow colors featuring a distinct cutout on the back for the cameras and branding.
As for the rest of the features, POCO M3 Pro 5G delivers 48MP tri-cameras on the back, 8MP selfie, a headphone jack, NFC, IR blaster, and Android 11 with MIUI 12 on top.
POCO M3 Pro 5G will go on sale starting May 20th until 22nd on POCO global store, Amazon, and AliExpress. The 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB models cost €159(~₱9,000) and €179(~₱10,400), respectively, as part of the early bird promo. After promo, the prices will revert to €179(~₱10,400) and €199(~₱11,600).
We’re not sure yet when POCO M3 Pro 5G would hit the Philippine market, but it’s probably sooner than later.
