In our previous report, we covered the acquisition of Essential Inc. by Carl Pei’s Nothing. Now, Pei has confirmed the deal that was made in a tweet.
In his tweet, Carl Pei clarified that the deal was centered on procuring Essential’s patents. As of now, there are no plans to share with the public regarding acquiring patents from Essential. With this in mind, it would be a possibility that Nothing would enter the smartphone business anytime soon.
Nothing has announced earlier this month that it would launch its own earphones this summer. Pei even described his vision of creating an ecosystem of devices that connects with each other and works smoothly with one another. We can expect that Nothing would launch its products anytime soon especially with Essential’s patents at hand.
