
Acer, in a press release, unveiled its new series of gaming laptops with AI features — the Acer Predator Helios Neo AI series.
The Acer Predator helios Neo AI series includes the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and the Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 AI gaming laptops.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI comes in four display variants with the base sporting a 16-inch WQXGA (1920 x 1200) panel, 180Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, sRGB 100%, 3 ms response time, and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. Meanwhile, the top variant boasts a 16-inch OLED + WQXGA (2560×1600) display, 240Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, DCI-P3 100%, 1 ms response time, and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 AI, on the other hand, also sports 4 display variants with the basic flaunting an 18-inch LED, WUXGA (1920×1200), 165 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits brightness, sRGB 100%, 3 ms response time, and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus; up to an 18-inch Mini LED + WQXGA (2560×1600), 250 Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 100%, 3 ms response time, and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus top variant.
Under the hood, both Acer Predator Helios Neo AI laptops are powered by either an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor or the Core Ultra 7 255HX CPU with NPU for AI-accelerated performance. For graphics, it is equipped with either NVidia GeForce RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti GPU with NVIDIA DLSS technologies. They also feature up to 64GB DDR5 6400 Hz RAM, up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD (2 slots), and a 90Wh battery.
For cooling, both gaming laptops incorporate 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D Fans, liquid metal thermal grease, and vector heat pipes.
Connectivity and I/O features include Wi-Fi 6E 1675i, Bluetooth 5.4, Intel Killer Ethernet E3100G, Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, microSD Card reader, and 3.5 mm combo audio jack.
Other features include Windows 11 Home for OS, DTS X:Ultra, 2 speakers, FHD (1920×1080) IR camera, Predator Sense 5.0/ Experience Zone 2.0, Acer PurifiedView 2.0, Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, Acer ProCam, Copilot, and PC Game Pass (3 months).
The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI weighs around 2.7 kg, while the Predator Helios Neo 18 AI is heavier at 3.3 kg.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI is priced starting at USD 1,899 (~PHP 110,255). It is slated to launch in North America in April, with the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) release following in May.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 AI, on the other hand, is priced starting at USD 2,199 (~PHP 127,673). It is planned for a North American release in May and EMEA launch set for June.
