During the Mobile World Congress 2018, a lot of big companies have revealed their latest smartphones. Unbeknownst to the public, LG has chosen to unveil their latest handset, the LG G7, to only a select group of people in a private room within the venue of the MWC 2018. Several devices were also introduced to this group at the same time.
The one responsible for leaking this information is an Israeli tech publication who shared leaked images of the LG G7 Neo. Evan Blass, a well-known leakster, also mentioned that the handset could be a prototype of the scrapped version of the LG G7. His latest information regarding this issue is that the smartphone is the next flagship phone from the company. He claims that the Neo is the original codename of the LG’s next generation flagship and it is the very same Judy phone that he had been revealing in the past month.
The LG G7 was seen with a design that resembles the iPhone X which caused some LG employees to be upset by it.
The device features 6-inch screen that supports 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120 which is similar with the LG “Judy” phone. The handset will also contain the Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 16-megapixel dual rear cameras with f/1.6 aperture, 3000mAh battery, and boombox speakers.
It has been confirmed by LG that its next flagship phone will be launched in the first half of 2018. LG has also revealed the upcoming LG Q7 and V35 smartphones and a new smartwatch to the mentioned select group of people.
