*Update as of 12/11/2020 – Lenovo announces the price of the K12 Pro — Php8,490 — with a free SIM card offering 25GB of data. Meanwhile, the K12 Note comes at Php6,990. The company also announced the K12 model arriving next month.
Lenovo’s K-Series of smartphones is returning, but for a specific market — China. Both the Lenovo K12 and K12 Pro are now up for sale, with prices of CNY 799(~Php5,800) and CNY 999(~Php7,300), respectively. Much like the POCO M3, they offer big batteries and huge cameras.
With the Lenovo K12, it packs a 48MP on the back alongside a 2MP depth lens. The battery is rated 5000mAh but supports 10W micro USB charging. The front panel looks old due to the teardrop notch, but it’s a standard panel size in 2020 at 6.5″ HD+ diagonal. At the core is the Snapdragon 460, paired with 4GB/64GB.
The Lenovo K12 Pro is a larger phone with a camera module that looks a lot like the iPhone 12s. The sensor is massive as well, boasting 64MP. As for the rest, they are two 2MP for macro and depth. Upfront is a 16MP camera in a pinhole cutout.
While the IPS LCD is larger at 6.8″ diagonal, it’s still using HD+ resolution. There is, however, a water-repellent coating for the build of the K12 Pro. Additionally, the 6000mAh battery supports USB-C and faster charging at 20W.
If these all too sound familiar to you, that’s because the K12 and K12 Pro are re-branded versions of the Moto E7 Plus and Moto G9 Power, respectively.
