SKT T1 is crowned League of legends 2015 world champions, with a convincing victory against KOO tigers on game 4. This is the 2nd championship for the Korean powerhouse team and a first to some of its newer members. Lets dig in a little deeper in the happenings of the finals and how SKT brought down the house, with their commanding victory.
Game 1 was immediately won by SKT, hands down, in a convincing climb from the bottom win against KOO. Early game was on KOO’s favour, with a messed up dive on the toplane, causes Faker’s kassadin to fall, despite the 3 man dive on the turret. Though, through continuous farming sprees and getting a few kills in the bag, faker was able to get to a point were he can go up close and personally with his kassadin and couldn’t be killed, which eventually gave SKT, a victory on game 1.
On Game 2 however, it seems that SKT was a bit more confident and risk-heavy, which gave KOO the advantage earlier in the game, by killing of SKT’s top laner marin, who got a bit greedy and chased down a fleeing KOO tiger member on the 2nd tower, flashing forward and eventually dying to the turret. However, this may only be a minor stepback, since, eventually SKT gave way to a good game on game 2 and got the victory over KOO.
Game 3 was a shocker to everyone, SKT’s confidence felt it had sky rocketed to the roof, with all their risky calls and plays eventually getting them into hard to win situations. KOO, on the other hand took this as an opportunity to break SKT’s winning streak and get as much advantage as they can. The KOO tigers played a very methodically game 3, which is something worth the praise. SKT’s aggression was always answered by KOO, which at the end, despite SKT’s best efforts to climb back into game, was eventually given to KOO tigers.
On game 4, SKT probably had enough and went in for the kill. The SKT squad showcased how they are probably the best team in league history and how faker is seemingly the league’s god, by playing a highly adaptable ryze gave which eventually gave them the championship at the end.
