Xiaomi is in the process of creating a new laptop utilizing an unreleased Intel Meteor Lake processor.
The laptop was discovered on the Geekbench benchmark platform, showcasing an Intel 14th Gen Core Ultra 7 155H processor and revealing essential specifications.
According to the Geekbench results, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor boasts 16 cores and 22 threads, comprising 6 performance cores and 10 efficiency cores. During the benchmark test, the laptop achieved a score of 1567 points in single-core performance and 8228 points in multi-core performance.
Comparatively, these scores are slightly lower than the average score of the Core i7-13700H, which typically reaches 2610 in single-core and 12989 in multi-core performance on Geekbench.
It’s crucial to recognize that these benchmarks are early indicators, and actual performance may vary upon the laptop’s final release.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi laptop is equipped with 32GB of memory (likely dual-channel), although details about its storage remain undisclosed. The laptop runs on the Windows 11 operating system.
Intel is placing significant emphasis on the capabilities of the Meteor Lake processor, which will be constructed on the Intel 4 process and incorporate XPU enhancements.
These enhancements encompass integrated AI and a tiled GPU architecture, aiming to deliver performance comparable to discrete graphics.
Intel has also introduced a new branding approach for the Intel Core Processors, starting with Meteor Lake. The letter “i” will be omitted from the tiering, resulting in designations such as Intel Core 5 processor.
Notably, Meteor Lake will be exclusive to mobile architecture, with processors on this platform referred to as Core Ultra, while the regular Core will utilize the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture..
