Part of the P40 series launch event was the announcement of Huawei Watch GT2, the company’s latest smart wearable. Feature and design-wise, GT2 isn’t a lot different than GT of last year, except for the Kirin A1 chipset. For that new feature, the price of GT2 is now P13,990 for the 42mm. The 46mm is yet to be priced in the Philippines but it launched with €249 price.
The smaller model weighs 29g only while the larger model clocks in at 41g. As for the case itself, the build is made of metal and plastic materials and comes in Rose Gold and Black — both in stainless steel for the 42mm and Titanium Grey and Stainless Steel for the 46mm. The available straps for the former are Khaki Leather, Cyan Fluoroelastomer, Rose Gold Milanese, and Black Fluoroelastomer, while the latter can be paired with Titanium Grey Metal, Orange Fluoroelastomer, Brown Leather or Black Fluoroelastomer strap.
Huawei Watch GT2 still features the same circular AMOLED screen which means the battery can still last up to 14 days (46mm) and up to 7 days (42mm). The notable new feature is the arrival of Kirin A1 wearable chip. It paves the way for Bluetooth 5.1 for a more reliable and stronger connection. However, only the 46mm supports Bluetooth calling.
Huawei Philippines has already updated its postings on Abenson, Lazada, and Shopee, making its new smartwatch available for purchase.
