HOW TO VIEW VERSION HISTORY IN GOOGLE DOCS

You can also rapidly see the version history of a document in Google Docs by pressing the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + Alt + Shift + H (on Windows) or Command + Option + Shift + H (on macOS).

Google Docs will display the differences between the current and older versions as highlighted and strikethrough text.

RESTORING A PREVIOUS VERSION OF A GOOGLE DOCS DOCUMENT

You can go back to a previous version of a Google Docs document in addition to reading its version history. So, you can utilize this capability to go back to a previous version if another collaborator makes any inappropriate changes. Here is how you can do it.

Step 1: Launch the Google Docs site in a web browser and open your Google Docs document.
