The “Recently Played” section on Spotify makes it impossible to conceal your music vices. Follow these steps to clear entries from your Spotify “Recently Played” list if you wish to keep your music habits private.
Using Spotify’s desktop app on Windows or Mac is the only way to do this. While clearing the entries using the desktop app will also remove them from any linked apps (including the mobile app), it is impossible to clear your “Recently Played” list using the mobile app or Spotify web player.
The first step in clearing your “Recently Played” list is to open the Spotify app on your PC or Mac. Go to the “Recently Played” section in the left-hand menu.
You will see a list of your previously played songs, albums, and artists in the “Recently Played” menu.
You can view the available settings by hovering your mouse over a specific cover listed below. The music can be played again, added to the “Liked Songs” list, or completely removed from the list if you do not want to keep it.
Please click the three-dot menu icon on the right side of the screen to remove the item from your “Recently Played” list.
Select the “Remove From Recently Played” option from the options menu when you click on the opportunity.
Upon clicking the “Recently Played” button, the item will be remove. From the list of things that are “Recently Play.” The item will also be deducted from other Spotify devices associate. With your account, including those linked to your mobile device.
Sadly, there is no way to delete all of the entries in the “Recently Played” list simultaneously. So you will have to repeat the following steps each time you want to remove an entry.
