Alongside the premium mid-range Honor 30S, the company also announced the Honor Play 9A which is a budget phone that can last up to 3 days on a single charge. With a massive 5000mAh battery inside the device, Honor Play 9A is only priced at CNY 900(~P6,400), while the 128GB model can be had for CNY 1200(~P8,600). Global availability isn’t certain, but if you’re interested, you can choose from Night Black, Blue Emerald, and Jasper Green once it goes official in China.
Starting with the innards, Honor Play 9A is equipped with MediaTek Helio P35 which is enough for both casual mid-intensive games. It runs on Android 10 but with the Magic UI 3.0.1 version instead of the 3.1.1 on the Honor 30S. 4GB RAM is all you have but internal storage expansion via microSD is still possible. The battery may be massive but the charging rate is only 10W via the old micro USB port. On the flip side, Honor touts the loudspeaker that can reach 88dB, thanks to Smart PA amp. As for the rest of the specs, Play 9A features 6.3″ HD+ LCD, rear fingerprint scanner, 8MP selfie camera, and 13MP+2MP main cameras.
