Google Launched New Online Store Exclusive For Selling Hardware Products

Google launched a brand new online store exclusive for selling the company’s hardware products only.

Google’s smartphones, tablets, Android Wear, Chromecast, Nexus Player, accessories and more used to be in the Devices section of the Play Store. But the new platform is specifically aimed at selling hardware, leaving play Store solely for softwares then.

The products the customers will see will depend on the region they are in. As of posting time, the online store is not yet open for the Philippines.

But according to the review of a publication, the new website features large images of the products, large fonts for the product description and specifications and even quotes from reviewers. Clicking the buy button opens a near drawer on the right with the product choices and then the rest of the purchase process is similar to the Play Store experience.

The left side menu also shows the customer’s order history, which is only for products on the store and does not include content from the Play Store. Android Device Manager is also present here to locate your device.

The new store can be found through this link – Google Store.
