After almost two decades, Ford USA has revived the Bronco series with the boxy 2-door and 4-door 4-wheel drive off-road models and introduces the Sport SUV. This series is like a Mustang but with off-road capabilities of the Raptor and will compete directly with the likes of Jeep Wrangler and the discontinued Toyota FJ Cruiser 4WD, especially for the former two models.

Speaking of Jeep, the off-road Bronco, both the 2-door and 4-door, still utilizes the jeep style exterior and features like the big boxy hood and high ground clearance. Ford adds its technologies to the Bronco series including the Trail Control and 7-speed manual transmission.
The engine options for the off-road will start with the 2.3-liter turbo-charged similar to the current Explorer in select markets. There will be a 2.7-liter V6 for the First Edition and top-end models.
The Bronco Sport is a mid-sized SUV that will square off against the Jeep Wrangler and even to some SUV like the Toyota RAV4. It is powered by a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine and a 2.0-liter turbo.
Both series are already open for pre-order in the USA and will start their delivery in spring 2021. Other markets like Australia and the Philippines will likely get the Bronco series a little longer and probably in early 2022.
