Two days after New Year’s Day, Dell has announced and revealed the Latitude 9510 business-centric laptop. Available in standard clamshell and 2-in-1 models, it has a starting price of $1,799 or ~P92K when directly converted to local currency. It will launch globally on March 26th.
Like the Dell XPS 13 (2020), the Latitude 9510 gets the latest 10th-gen Intel Ice Lake processors. However, the display is measured 15″ with the body of a 14″ laptop. The display quality is one of the biggest improvements, offering 400-nits brightness with a 100% sRGB color gamut average. Essentially a 15″ laptop, Dell is claiming that the battery life could last up to a staggering 30 hours of use. The catch is that the Smart Card reader is not included. With it, the battery trickles down to 17 hours. Among other things, a software called Optimizer is pre-installed that acts as AI for optimized usage. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 along with optional 5G mobile wireless connectivity. The webcam supports IR which means Windows Hello feature is present. Alternatively, you can go for the fingerprint sensor embedded on the power button.
Comparing the clamshell and 2-in-1 models, although both come with FHD resolution, there’s an option for 400-nit panel or Corning Gorilla Glass 6 DX (2-in-1 specific). Port-wise, there are two Thunderbolt 3s with one capable of charging, HDMI 2.0, SD card slot, SIM card slot, wedge lock slot, and one USB 3.1 port.
