Huawei Honor 5X Launched in China; To Feature Snapdragon 615 Chip, 5.5-inch FHD Display, Fingerprint Sensor

Recently, Huawei announced the availability of Huawei’s Honor 5X in china, which showcases qualities that surpass the formidable Honor 4X, in more ways than one. Find out more about its specs, features and overall performance capability to learn whether the Huawei Honor 5X is the phone for you.

The device carries a 5.5-inch IPS FHD display, with a pixel density count of 400ppi, which also has a fingerprint scanner feature. The latter carries a Snapdragon 615 chip, which is supported by a 1.7GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and has an Adreno 405 GPU. For storage, the latter carries a 16GB internal storage and provides an option in RAM capacity, with either a 2GB RAM capacity or 3GB RAM capacity.

The fingerprint sensor on the back showcases the security that the Honor 5X holds, backed up by Huawei’s latest sensor tech that has a pretty fast 0.4s unlock period. For shooters, the latter carries a 13MP rear shooter, with dual-LED flash and 5MP selfie shooter,which is truth be told, a pretty standard setting for shooters. The Honor 5X carries a 3000mAh battery in its sleeves, which, thanks to its Snapdragon 615, has the Quick charge 3.0 system that gives the phone a 50% charged energy in under 30 minutes of charging.

The 2GB RAM version of the Honor 5X is expected to be at 999 Yuan or roughly Php 7K in converted PH price, while the 3GB RAM version is at 1,399 Yuan or roughly Php 10K in converted PH price. Huawei’s Honor 5X is expected to land in China on November 3rd, though a global launch is yet to be determined.
