Have you ever accidentally deleted a photo on your Instagram and wanted to retrieve it? Now, you can do it with the new tool Instagram introduced for Android and iOS users called “Recently Deleted”.
This is a folder to safeguard everyone if they accidentally or unintentionally delete any of their posts. The feature also helps protect anyone from hackers who would access your account and decide to delete everything in your account. This time, it would require account verification before permanently deleting any of your posts.
This applies to photos, videos, reels, IGTV videos, and stories which will be moved to the “Recently Deleted” folder and would stay there for 30 days before being permanently deleted by the system. However, these deleted Stories are not exempted which will be deleted after 24 hours if not archived.
The new feature can be found if you accessed it if you go to Settings → Account → Recently Deleted. From here on, you can choose from permanently deleting or restoring the selected content.
