The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 launched, along with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, in India on the 14th of February. It has been confirmed by Xiaomi’s product marketing director Zang Zhiyuan that this model will soon be available to China through his Weibo post where he stated that the phone will be released on March.
In Zhiyuan’s Weibo post, it was suggested that the Redmi Note 5 will contain stellar camera capabilities. His post also included a photo of the device along with the tagline “India’s camera beast.”
This may hint that Xiaomi will be releasing the Redmi Note 5 Pro as the Redmi Note 5 in China.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro will come with the Snapdragon 636 chipset along with 64 GB of storage powered by 4,000mAh battery. It will also have 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options. The smartphone will also feature a LED flash enabled selfie camera of 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual rear cameras.
As of now, there is no exact date on Xiaomi’s release of the Redmi Note 5 in China.
