While Vivo S5 has been launched in China as the first smartphone to sport a diamond-cut camera module, the Vivo S1 Pro is the second with the same feature — launching in the Philippines with P15,990 price. It already gets you a massive battery, five cameras, 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage.
Vivo S1 Pro seems to be a good deal, especially when compared to the Vivo S1 that went out for P14,999. For a thousand peso more, you’re getting more cameras, better chipset, and a new design. Available in black and white colors, Vivo’s new mid-range phone introduces the diamond-cut camera module that houses four main sensors — 48MP f1.8 + 8MP f2.2 ultrawide + 2MP f2.4 macro + 2MP f2.4 depth. Thanks to the Snapdragon 665 chipset, users can record up to 4K @ 30fps. As for the front camera, the 32MP selfie lens is housed inside a small teardrop notch.
The rest of the specs are also impressive for the price — 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging — allowing you to go from flat to full in a little over 2 hours. Interestingly, Vivo is generous enough to share that the battery is rated for 500 cycles. There’s a 6.38″ FHD+ Super AMOLED, optical under-screen fingerprint scanner, and an audio jack.
Vivo S1 pro can be pre-ordered online and in-store from November 21 to 29. It will be available nationwide starting November 30. Alternatively, you can purchase the device through Home Credit that’s available for 6-, 9-, and 12-month installment plans.
