Both platforms feature a Snapdragon X12 LTE Modem capable of reaching 600Mbps downlink speeds, double of the previous 600-series. Improved image quality with zero shutter lag and faster auto-focus is handled by the 14-bit Qualcomm Spectra 160 ISP providing a pleasurable experience for mobile photographers. Other features include Quick charge 4 technology, Bluetooth 5, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO on the 660.
Devices with the Snapdragon 660 might begin to surface in the market in the end of the quarter as shipping is already available to manufacturers. While the Snapdragon 630 will begin shipment by the end of the month.
