The list has two particular phase in plan, Phase 1 has the official list of flagships that are expected to receive the marshmallow update and as you can see on the list, the Galaxy S5 and Alpha are still yet to be approved for the update, while flagships, ranging from the S6 series, the Note 5 and Note 4, as well as the Note edge have all been approved, based on the list and were given specific dates of update arrival.
On phase 2 however, the list are composed of certain devices on the A series, as well as on the E series, budget and mid-ranged devices, which are all still currently waiting for approval for the Marshmallow update. There is also an expected phase 3, though it is not yet determined, whether the list has been filled up or not. If you’re seeing your device on this list, then you would likely receive the update on the given ETA date. However, if you have a device that has been recently launched, expect it to get the update sometime next year.
