Just recently, the Samsung Galaxy J6 was listed in Geekbench which was recognized by its model number SM-J600F. Two smartphones of the same J-series, the Galaxy J4 and J8, also appeared in benchmarks in the past.
The new model will come with the Exynos 7870 chipset which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy J5. It will also contain a 1.6 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and will be built on the 14nm process. Along with these features, the device will have a maximum screen resolution of 1,920×1,200 as well. The Samsung Galaxy J6 will run on Android 8.0 Oreo and will contain 2GB of RAM.
The SM-J600F scored 726 on the single core test and 3,643 on the multi-core test. With these specs, there is a possibility that the new model will be a mid-range phone.
Although the new model has been listed in Geekbench, Samsung still hasn’t given any official announcements regarding the new model. As of now, there is no news on its availability and its expected pricing.
