Samsung Galaxy A72 Looking To Sport 5 Main Cameras

In the past, Samsung has had trouble competing against the likes of Xiaomi and Redmi when it comes to affordable, mid-range devices. However, that changed when the Galaxy A50 got introduced. Though its previous successors never lived up to the expectations, it was the Galaxy A71 that took the cape and became the best value mid-range from the company. With a couple more months to go before the A71 turns a year old, we’re now hearing rumors regarding its successor — presumed to be the Galaxy A72.

Based on a report from South Korea, the Galaxy A72 may be looking to be the first Samsung phone with five main cameras. As we all know, quad-cameras is the trend right now, regardless if it’s a budget phone or a high-end. The details even include a 64MP main camera, perhaps the second-gen Samsung sensor, alongside 12MP ultrawide and a pair of 5MP lenses for macro and depth purposes. But completing the Penta-camera experience is the addition of a 12MP telephoto lens that offers 3x zoom.

Back in 2018, Samsung made the Galaxy A9 as the world’s first phone with a quad-camera solution. Nearly two years later, it’s hard not to see the biggest manufacturer in the world to be doing the same thing.
