Redmi Note 10 Series Surfaces: 120Hz IPS LCD, Dimensity 820 5G, & 8GB RAM

POCO X3 NFC is a hit in the Philippines; selling out after 22 mins since its initial sale on Shopee yesterday. While the 120Hz mid-range phone is yet to become available at physical stores, it seems a different version of it is ready to be released for the global market. Dubbed as the Redmi Note 10 Series, it packs the main highlight, which is the 120Hz FHD+ IPS LCD with 240Hz touch sampling rate. However, the main camera seems downgraded from 64MP to 48MP, but the RAM capacity gets upgraded from 6GB to 8GB.

When POCO X3 NFC launched, we gave the device high praise as it almost offers no downside in a mid-range phone. Well, except for the 6GB RAM as the standard in 2020 is 8GB already. With the Note 10 Series, this seems to be not a problem anymore. On top of that, the unapologetic stripe and logo on the back are switched out in favor of a boring (but cleaner) aesthetic. But based on the leak, it did say that it’s “preliminary specs,” so expect changes to come along the way.

Based on a different listing, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 10 packs Dimensity 820 SoC, which also means 5G connectivity is in tow already. We have yet to see a 5G MediaTek phone in the country, so the chance of the Note 10 Series arriving is very slim.

Anyway, which of the two do you prefer? The Redmi Note 10 Series or POCO X3 NFC?
