Budget 5G Realme V11 with Dimensity 700 and 128GB Starts at ~P8,900

We’ve seen 5G smartphones first on flagship devices, then trickled down to mid-range towards the end of 2020. This year, OEMs are starting to release 5G devices for budget consumers. With that in mind, the fastest-growing smartphone company is starting with Realme V11 that only retails for CNY1199(~Php8,900) and CNY 1399(~Php10,400) in China for the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB models, respectively. Take note that the converted Philippine peso prices don’t reflect actual pricing in the event of a potential launching in the country. With that out of the way, let’s dive in.

From the surface, Realme V11 looks a lot like a Vivo phone from yesteryear with its glossy finish on the back. Based on the spec sheet, it’s a phone that went all out for the sake of having 5G capability.

The 6.5″ display comes with a notch and only supports HD+ resolution, while the cameras on the back are 13MP wide and 2MP depth only. Though, the front is using an 8MP sensor. The battery is rated 5000mAh, which is plenty enough for an entry-level phone, but thankfully, there’s an 18W USB-C charger. The V11 is already running on realme UI based on Android 11 but doesn’t support expandable storage. 

At the core of Realme V11 is the Dimensity 700, allowing it to support 5G connectivity. Based on public benchmarks, we’re looking at a slightly worse Snapdragon 720G in both CPU and GPU.
