Gather up trainers, Niantic Labs, creator of Pokemon Go will add more than 80 Pokemon this week on its latest update.
The second generation of Pokemon – including Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Totodile from the Johto region in the Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver games can be captured starting this week.
There will be new evolutions as some Pokemon from Kanto region will be able to evolve – into Pokémon that inhabit the Johto region. For some Pokemon, it will require new evolution items.
Apart from that, new berries will be on its way namely: Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries. The former will slow the Pokemon movements, making it easier to catch while the latter doubles the amount of Candy you’ll receive if your next catch attempt succeeds.
In terms of gameplay, Niantic Labs teased that Pokemon will react in “new ways” upon encountering them.
New Avatars and an Expanded Wardrobe will also be available to make your player unique from the rest.
Pokemon GO already teased the second-gen Pokemon last year but one thing that is missing is Pokemon trading.
We’ll wait and see how this will unfold.
