Despite providing health coverage to 92% of Filipinos, PhilHealth is grappling with the task of cleansing its database.
During a Senate Committee on Science and Technology probe on cyber security, Ledesma acknowledged the issue, emphasizing the necessity of database cleanup.
He expressed concern that the records of around 4-5 million deceased members are yet to be removed from the system. To address this, he has sought assistance from the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
