OPPO’s newest addition to its F-series officially went on sale last August 31 Now, the smartphone manufacturer announced the arrival of a new color variant, the OPPO F9 Starry Purple.
As mentioned in our previous articles, the OPPO F9 features a 6.3″ FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. In addition, it is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
The device is powered by the Helio P60 along with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and an octa-core processor clocked up to 2.0 GHz. It arrived with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card.
The device’s main highlight is its VOOC Flash Charge which is mentioned to be 4x faster than the 5VA charging. Furthermore, OPPO stated that the battery has a five-layer protection that makes sure the battery won’t get damaged by the Flash Charge. Additionally, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and ColorOS 5.2.
The OPPO F9 is now available in three colors – Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue, and Starry Purple. It is priced at PHP 17,990. The Starry Purple variant will be launched on September 15 at OPPO‘s Flagship Concept Store in Glorietta 2, Makati City.
