OPPO may have launched its best mid-range phone yet in China — introducing the OPPO K9 5G. It’s a pocketable phone with 5G capability and great specs for the starting price of ¥1999(~₱14,800) for the 8/128GB and ¥2199(~₱16,300) for the 8/256GB in China. While global availability remains unknown, here’s what you need to know about the new device.
From the surface, OPPO K9 5G looks like any other phone with its Spade Black and Gradient Symphony colors. But inside, the company is touting its 3D liquid cooling system for better heat management. At 6.43-inch, the FHD+ OLED 90Hz display can go up to 750 nits peak brightness while delivering a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
There are three cameras on the back, namely a 64MP sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. A 32MP camera is found on the top-left selfie cutout. The battery is rated 4300mAh but supports 65W fast charging — allowing the K9 5G to go from 0-100% in just 35 minutes.
Powering all that is the Snapdragon 768G with 5G capability. OPPO K9 5G is already running ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
