OPPO skips a number. After last year’s OPPO Find X3, this year there is the OPPO Find X5 and the OPPO Find X5 Pro. Also this year, the manufacturer promises extensive performance in the Android market with its new flagships.
A prominent feature of last year’s top model was definitely the dual main cameras. The Find X5 series also comes with two 50MP sensors, one in wide-angle and one in ultra-wide-angle. In the Pro model, the wide-angle camera also has a new 5-axis image stabilization. There is also a double zoom lens with 13MP for both versions, but the macro lens with its own lighting is omitted.
There is also a 32MP selfie camera on the front for optimal self-portraits. Incidentally, the cameras with this flagship generation are all powered by OPPO’s in-house “MariSilicon” image processor.
Also on the front, the impressive displays should quickly catch the eye . The OPPO Find X5 Pro struts here with WQHD+ at 6.7-inch. The Find X5 still has 6.55-inch at FHD+. Both AMOLED screens achieve a refresh rate of 10-bit and up to 120 Hz, with the Pro model with LTPO panel.
In order to offer sufficient performance, the corresponding hardware is installed in both phones. The Find X5 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. With the Find X5, OPPO relies on last year’s top processor, the Snapdragon 888, 8GB of RAM and also 256GB of storage space.
Like last year, OPPO is setting high battery goals with this generation. There is a full 5,000 mAh for the Pro and 4,800 mAh for the regular Find X5. Both devices can be charged with 80W using the already mentioned, supplied power adapter.
The brand promises about 50% capacity in 12 minutes with the Pro model. There is also an impressive 50W of wireless charging on the Pro, compared to 30W on the standard model.
