OPPO is gearing up to release its next foldable smartphone — the OPPO Find N5. It is expected to be unveiled on February 20, in China.
Pete Lau, SVP & CPO of OPPO and OnePlus Founder, recently teased the upcoming OPPO Find N5, showing the device with a barely noticeable crease compared to another foldable smartphone (probably Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6).
The Find N5 is also expected to have a OnePlus counterpart named OnePlus Open 2.
Moreover, it is confirmed to come with IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance, making it the foldable smartphone with the highest certification against fresh water damage.
Meanwhile, leaks have also surfaced online revealing the renders of the upcoming Find N5. The leaked photos show that it will arrive in three colorways (Purple, White, and Black). It will also have a triple-rear camera setup with Hasselblad branding.
The OPPO Find N5 is also rumored to be the slimmest foldable smartphone when it launches, with a thickness of just 4.2mm in its unfolded state. To recap, the current commercially available slimmest foldable smartphone is the HONOR Magic V3 at 4.35mm thickness.
For specs, it will allegedly be equipped with an 8-inch LTPO OLED main panel with 2k resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display will be 6.4 inches.
It will be powered by Qualcomm’s 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite processor alongside up to 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage.
Lastly, it is rumored to pack a 5,600mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
OPPO has yet to reveal further information about the device, so stay tuned for more updates.
