OPPO has unveiled a new midrange smartphone under the A5 series in China—the OPPO A5 Pro. Check it out!
One of the main features of the OPPO A5 Pro is its durability. It has IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance. The brand claims that it is resistant to 18 types of water, bubbles, sprays, heat. There is also a one-touch button for drainage function.
It is claimed to be the industry’s first mobile phone to pass 14 comprehensive military standard environmental tests. It works in temperatures ranging from 35 to 47 degrees Celsius, and is also resistant to freezing, dust, salt spray and other harsh environments.
In terms of design, the phone’s back panel is inspired by the mineral characteristics of nature, the delicate and layered texture of rocks and the unique natural colors, according to the brand. It is available in New Year Red, Rock Black, Quartz White, and Sandstone Purple colorways.
For specs, it sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1200 nits of peak brightness, 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
It is powered by the 2.5GHz 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 octa-core processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and 6,000mAh battery capacity with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
Camera-wise, the OPPO A5 Pro is equipped with 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP monochrome lens. Upfront is a 16MP selfie camera.
Additionally, it also boasts the industry’s first hunter antenna architecture. The signal strength is enhanced to 300-percent of the previous generation, with symmetrical low-frequency antennas added at both ends and the central frame completely enclosing the antenna arrangement, accounting for up to 84.5-percent. It has OPPO’s smart network selection technology and is said to boost elevator reception of common frequency band signals from two channels to four channels.
The OPPO A5 Pro is now available for pre-order through OPPO China’s official store and will go on sale starting December 27.
