For quite a long time, OnePlus is known for its role as a luxury smartphone manufacturer among all other brands. However, the company’s once impeccable reputation has recently suffered somewhat due to its merger with OPPO.
In the shadow of this development, OnePlus has found a way to go back to its own roots with the “Nord” sub-brand. In general, the sub-brand is aimed more at budget-oriented customers like the OnePlus Nord 2, giving a striking strategy as a “flagship killer”. However, its successor, the OnePlus Nord 2T could announce sooner than later.
The usually reliable leaker OnLeaks, in partnership with Digit, reports that the OnePlus Nord 2T could be on the market very soon. The company itself is keeping information about the successor to the Nord 2. The “T” variants at OnePlus are usually having rather small technical updates.
The most anticipated update of the OnePlus Nord 2T should be a new processor. According to their report, OnePlus remains loyal to MediaTek and is giving the OnePlus Nord 2T the upcoming Dimensity 1300 SoC. The processor itself hasn’t been announced yet either, but it should bring a decent performance compared to the Dimensity 1200. Moreover, it will now support 80W of fast charging, as compared to the 60W of the previous model.
There are nothing many upgrades to the camera and display, and might still have a 50MP triple camera, 6.44-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate using an AMOLED screen. In terms of the software side, the OnePlus Nord 2T is expected to use OxygenOS 12, based on the Android 12.
