Nothing has launched the latest Nothing OS 2.6 update for its Nothing Phone (2), bringing an array of new features, game mode enhancements, and essential bug fixes.
Users can now delete wallpaper history in Wallpaper Studio and enjoy an improved initial setup for the Weather Widget/app, which includes user-friendly prompts for adding a specific city.
The Quick Settings Bluetooth tile now displays the CMF Watch battery level, and the Low Lag Mode experience for Nothing earbuds has been optimized. Game Mode has also received multiple upgrades, quick access to the Game Dashboard via the left sidebar, incoming calls during games displayed in a pop-up view, support to reject third-party app calls during gameplay, one-tap callback after rejecting a regular call, optimized light notifications, and support for blocking notifications to minimize distractions during games.
Bug fixes include resolving issues with WhatsApp voice and call recording, anomalies during emergency calls, and problems with the Cloned Apps feature, along with other general bug fixes.
As is common with firmware updates, the Nothing OS 2.6 update for the Nothing Phone (2) is being rolled out in stages. This phased deployment allows Nothing to identify and address any potential issues, ensuring a stable and smooth update process.
Users who haven’t received the OTA notification can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System Update.
