Launched on July 10, 2024, the eTravel System in the Philippines was developed by the Bureau of Customs, the Department of Information and Communications Technology, and the Department of Migrant Workers.
As we all know, airports are often congested, with long lines everywhere, and travelers are usually eager to board or leave. That’s why the new system aims to make your travel faster and more convenient.
How does it work? Instead of filling out multiple forms, you only need your QR code, and you’re done. The QR code includes your declarations, such as if you’re bringing a specific amount of money, gadgets, medicines beyond personal use, perishable goods, weapons, and more.
To obtain the QR Code, travelers should register on the eTravel Portal. If you have the eGOV PH app, you can also check it, and it will redirect you to the eTravel website.
The new eTravel System promises to make your experience better with a single QR code, making travel smoother and more efficient. Are you excited to try out this new system on your next trip? Share your thoughts or experiences in the comments below!
