SeaBank, a rural and mobile bank in the Philippines has announced some changes in their non-InstaPay cash-ins.
Originally, the bank allows three free cash-ins on linked bank accounts like BPI, AllBank, China Bank, RCBC, and Union Bank. It also offers 15 free transfers to other digital wallets and banks.
However, according to a new advisory, starting on June 16th, the primary method for linked cash-ins will be through InstaPay.
This means, that adding money to your account using a linked service will likely go through InstaPay. Be aware that some of these InstaPay connections might have a fee. If you use a different method that’s not InstaPay, you’ll be charged PHP 15.
On the other hand, cash-ins through ShopeePay will continue to be free of charge.
As mentioned, this new starting June 16, 2025 cash-in on SeaBank will have a potential fee of PHP15 per transaction.
