While the Mi 11 is just making waves globally, a local YouTube Tech Channel, Tech Buff, ‘accidentally’ revealed its unboxing of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. This model is expected to be the most expensive one among the Mi 11 Series, followed by the unreleased Mi 11 Pro. In his already-deleted video, he revealed almost entirely the specs of the device.
For starters, the Mi 11 Ultra appears to be coming in white and black colors. The glass finish is glossy instead of matte, and the camera hump is probably the largest we’ve seen since Nokia days. Imagine the POCO M3, but with protruded camera hump. To be fair, the hump looks to be serving its purpose — three large sensors, featuring a 50MP wide sensor and a pair of 48MP sensor for ultrawide and telephoto. The telescopic lens is said to provide up to 120x zoom capability, though optical zoom only reaches up to 10x. Other than the cameras, there’s a small vertical secondary display that serves as a viewfinder when taking selfies with the main cameras.
Despite the bulge, the video claims the Mi 11 Ultra sports IP68 water resistance. Furthermore, the 5000mAh battery supports 67 wired and wireless charging as well as 10W reverse wireless charging. Due to a few inconsistencies in branding, there’s a chance that the leaked devices are prototypes. However, the specs are seemingly final.
As mentioned, Xiaomi Mi 11 just reached the global market, and the Mi 11 Pro has yet to grace the stage. We should know more about the Mi 11 Ultra in the next several weeks.
